Dear UUCL Members and Friends,
The Titus family thanks you for the outpouring of love for Ron and the family.
There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Ron's life on Saturday January 19th at 2:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Lowcountry.
Please note that there is limited parking at our our building. You may be asked to park on the street. If you can coordinate with someone else attending the service you may wish to leave your car at Lowes or one of the other shopping plazas at the beginning of Malphrus road and carpool to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Lowcountry. Make checks payable to UUCL and note 'Ron Titus Fund' in the memo line.
The family sees 4 different opportunities for ways people could help at the service.
1. Parking Attendants
Anthony Serpe has offered to help with parking. If you can assist Anthony please contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org or 843-684-2900. We expect the parking lot to fill quickly. Once the lot is full only the only drop-offs will be permitted at the building. People will be asked to park on the street. If you can coordinate with someone else attending the service you may wish to leave your car at Lowes or one of the other shopping plazas on Malphrus road and carpool to the service.
2. The Refreshments
Kathy Quirk and Suellen Manning have offered to coordinate the refreshments that will be available directly following the memorial service. If you would like to take part in helping with this effort, please contact Kathy at: 843-836-2892 or email her at: email@example.com. Suellen can be reached at 843-785-4331 and her email is: .firstname.lastname@example.org
3. Setting Up for the Family Dinner
Rather than leaving the church and heading to a restaurant, the Titus family members would like to remain at UUCL for a private dinner in the sanctuary. George and Cheryl Kanuck have agreed to coordinate a Team who would go into the sanctuary after the memorial service and set up tables, cover them with tablecloths and surround them with chairs. If you would like to volunteer for this, please contact George at: 843.705.5403 (home) or email him at: email@example.com
4. Clean-up and Putting the Church Back Together for Sunday Service
Carla Golden has offered to coordinate this project. It would require you to come to UUCL early Sunday morning (about 8:30a.m.) and put away the tables and make the sanctuary ready for the service. If this is something you could do, you can contact Carla Golden at: 843-816-6179 or email her at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Titus family is grateful for your help.
