****UUCL Office Hours****

Tuesdays 8:00 a.m. to noon
Wednesdays 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursdays 8:00 a.m. to noon

Our July Theme is Mindfulness:

Mindfulness means being awake. The best way to capture moments is to pay attention. It means knowing what you are doing.  Mindfulness practice means that we commit fully in each moment to be present; inviting ourselves to BE with this moment in full awareness, with the intention to embody as best we can an orientation of calmness, mindfulness, and equanimity right here and right now.
                                                     Jon Kabat-Zinn

July 14 - Rev. Pat Jobe: History, Humor and Hunger For A Mindful Memory

While mindfulness calls us to the present moment, Rev. Jobe has been mindful of our UU past lately. As always he will seek the lighter side to keep us from taking ourselves too seriously, but in this worship service, he will also remind us, make us mindful again, of the great traditions that make us who we are.

July 21 - Rev. Pat Jobe: Attention, What A Price To Pay

Rev. Pat Jobe returns to ask us unto what are we paying attention? Are we burdened by news reports of horrors? Are we light and free when we see a dew drop clinging to a blade of grass? How do we balance the social conscious of Clara Barton against the mystic blue persuasion of William Blake?

July 28 - Rabbi Robert Haas

Coming in August
