Our Minister Emeritus - Rev. Manuel Holland

If you would like to contact Manuel please reach out to uucl.office@gmail.com

To celebrate Manuel's 91st birthday, a group of UUCL Members and Friends visited his home. Carol Stephens set it up so Manuel was facing the window of his room.  First, we each went to the window and gave personal birthday greetings.  Then we sung some of his favorite hymns.

General Assembly (GA) is the annual meeting of our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).  It is an annual gathering where participants worship, witness, learn, connect and make policy for the Association through democratic process.  This year the General Assembly will be a 100% virtual event from June 23-27, 2021.

Circle 'Round for Justice ● Healing ● Courage is the theme for General Assembly 2021. GA is a time to circle ‘round in community. It will be a time for us to  circle ‘round in care and healing; for liberation and justice; and for love and courage.

Also, each year The UUA President invites a distinguished guest to address the General Assembly as the Ware Lecturer. This year the co-speakers will be Stacey Abrams and Desmond Meade.  The Ware Lecture takes place on Saturday, June 26 7:00 p.m.  General Assembly registration is required to view.

Registration is $200 per person. Financial support for registration as well as a payment plan are available. General Assembly registrants receive access to the 2021 Online Participation Portal, including live, simulive, and on-demand video content, the virtual exhibit hall, chat features, support, and a GA mobile app.

If you would like more information or have any questions, please contact Ann Harrison at 843.422.2598 or dearannharrison@gmail.com.
