REOPENING UPDATE:

RSVP for Sunday, June 6th Service

We still have seats available for members to attend the June 6th in-person service.  Your reservation can be made by clicking on the link https://rsvp.church/r/bzNG28p9.  On the new page click on the Church Service date box, and on the following page enter your name, email address and how many members will be attending with you, and click Submit.  You will receive a confirmation email soon after you click the submit button.

We are asking that you RSVP only if you are fully vaccinated. We are limiting the attendance to 25 members who will be required to wear masks and who will be practicing social distancing. We offer live stream services every Sunday.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work through the process of reopening our doors safely to all members.  Please contact Laura McFadden, ljmrbm1@gmail.com or 608-770-7763, if you have any questions, would like to share your thoughts or know of anyone who would like to attend the service, but do not use the internet.  We look forward to seeing you soon.

"Healing Childhood Wounds"

No one escapes childhood without wounds. As children, we had little say over how we were treated, but as adults, we can decide how much say our past may have in our present. We'll consider some practical things we can do to facilitate our healing of old wounds.

"A Skeptic Looks at Healing"

Can we heal one another?  Are there magic healing potions?  How should a UU look at this age old religious and social tradition of healing?

Rev. Pat Jobe (live in Bluffton)

"And what do we do with miracles?"

George Bernard Shaw was deeply cynical that anything was a miracle. Oral Roberts made millions convincing folks he could work miracles. Is there common ground? Is there something to be gained from miracle stories, positive thinking, confident emotions?

Rev. Pat Jobe is back in the Bluffton pulpit after 15 months away and only showing up via video feed. On June 20, he is live and in person and talking about healing, especially the kind that appears to be miraculous.
