|Reverend Jim Morrison
Dear members and friends of The Unitarian Universalists Congregation of the Low country,
I am shocked and sorry to have to tell you that because I have to have serious surgery as early as 12/20/2018 I must set aside my role as a pastoral minister. The surgery will be done in Savannah with a hospitalization of 5-7 days followed by a few weeks of very restricted activity. It is to correct and control a somewhat common, but serious heart issue.
The good news is that I have been assured that I will be back to full health few months. Together, we have gotten to know each other and have experienced continuing and renewing work as a vital and necessary expression of religious faith in our community. The lay leadership has been dedicated and has served with a commitment to make this religious liberal congregation an outspoken and effective voice for personal faith and social justice benefiting everyone. The board will decide how things will be handled in the interim.
Let us hold each other and our world close.
