Changes to In-Person Services
We are monitoring the CDC Guidelines, and we are very happy to announce several changes to future services.
On Sunday June 20th, we are inviting you to our last trial in-person service.  Rev. Pat Jobe will be in Bluffton, and will join us in the church to deliver his message, “What do we do with miracles?”  Following the service, there will be a Zoom talk back session and members in attendance are invited to join the discussion in the sanctuary.  Also, we will be collecting any monetary donations for UUCL and Sandalwood Pantry in the box at the back of the sanctuary.
The doors will be open to all fully vaccinated members and friends.  RSVP’s are no longer necessary, and attendance is no longer limited to 25 members.  Masks are optional and will be available along with hand sanitizer.  We will continue to practice CDC guidelines for this and all services.  If you have any questions or comments, please contact Laura McFadden at or leave a message at 608-770-7763.  She will return your call.  We look forward to seeing you on June 20th.  This service will be live streamed.
Services Starting June 27
We are very pleased to announce that starting on June 27th, we will be back to our new “normal” service.  Our doors will be open to all members and friends, and we will be following the CDC Guidelines for fully vaccinated people. Masks will be optional; however, we ask that you wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated to protect yourself and others.  Coffee and refreshments will be served immediately following the service, and there will be an after service discussion in the sanctuary shortly after that.  Food and monetary donations for Sandalwood Pantry will be accepted.  All services will be live streamed.
We are excited that we can be together again and are looking forward to seeing you soon. As we all do our part to observe the safety guidelines set by the CDC, our hope is that we can meet every Sunday.  We will continue to monitor the CDC guidelines, and will announce any modifications to our services as needed.
Looking forward to seeing you soon, The UUCL Board of Trustees

This Sunday, June 13, 2021
we will have a Live Streamed service
beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The service will be viewable on our Website

Rev. Dick Hood
"A Skeptic Looks at Healing"

Can we heal one another?  Are there magic healing potions?  How should a UU look at this age old religious and social tradition of healing?

June 20, 2021
Rev. Pat Jobe (live in Bluffton)

"And what do we do with miracles?"

George Bernard Shaw was deeply cynical that anything was a miracle. Oral Roberts made millions convincing folks he could work miracles. Is there common ground? Is there something to be gained from miracle stories, positive thinking, confident emotions?

Rev. Pat Jobe is back in the Bluffton pulpit after 15 months away and only showing up via video feed. On June 20, he is live and in person and talking about healing, especially the kind that appears to be miraculous.
