Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences

The first Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences of the year will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017. These conferences are designed to build relationships, encourage students, and bring parents peace about the school they have chosen for their child to attend.

Next week parents will receive an email with instructions and a link to a specific teacher’s online sign-up. If you have any difficulty signing up, please call your child’s language teacher so that they may assist you.

We have found these conference days to be keenly important because teachers – and yes, students – are able to review with parents their academic, social, and behavioral progress in school. There will be no surprises or upsetting news for parents. This will be a first opportunity for parents to see the hope and plans that teachers have for each child. Together – parent, teacher, and student can forge a partnership to help the student improve or continue to succeed.

Fall Book Fair
Team 8 previews the Fall Book Fair

Fall Book Fair

Our Fall Book Fair is scheduled for Friday, September 29, during the Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences. The Fair will be open from 8am to 5pm in Room #107 near the library.

The objective of the Book Fair is twofold: to help raise funds to purchase essential classroom and library resources, and to encourage reading among our students. Fall Book Fair flyers have been sent home with all students this week. We appreciate your support of our school and the library, and we hope to see you at the Book Fair!

NOTE: de Paul families can also purchase items online. Orders can be placed through October 1.

Team 6 Science...?

Team 6 has been learning all about our solar system, and now they're writing about it? In Science Class?!
Planet Paragraphs 1
Planet Paragraphs 2
Mrs. Archibald has challenged the students to compare and contrast their two favorite planets - and only those two. When paragraphs begin to gravitate toward facts about the sun or NASA, Mrs. Archibald redirects the focus back into the orbit of the topic sentence. This writing helps solidify what the students have learned.
