Baby Grant's Wish

Baby Grant, as he calls himself, was diagnosed with Hepatocellular Neoplasm (liver cell cancer) in December, 2016, a cancer so rare it had no name. Grant is an amazing little boy who was so excited to meet Buzz Lightyear and Woody, his favorite Disney characters, and then go to the beach.

Grant and his family had a Magical trip to Disney World and Clearwater Beach and he loved the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin Ride in Magic Kingdom so much that he rode it multiple times each day. Kara, Grant’s mom, said, “It was just amazing to see Grant’s face light up everywhere we went. He’s always been afraid of characters in costume,  but he LOVED everyone he met on this trip”. Grant also loved playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean.

Kara is praying that her family will return to Disney World, many years from now, with a healthy and grown Grant riding all the big kid rides.

Thanks to all of our wonderful supporters!  Every donation made goes to make these trips possible.

Katherine's Fun Time

Katherine loves water, rollercoasters, the Cardinals and Funyuns!! Her wish to visit Holiday World/Splashin Safari with her family was perfect for her. This beautiful, fun loving, little girl has been fighting Medulloblastoma (the most common type of brain tumor in children) for almost 2 years. She recently relapsed for the second time in May.

Kellsie’s Hope was able to send Katherine and her family to a Cardinal Game and Holiday World/Splashin Safari for a few days.

Thank you everyone for helping Kellsie's Hope make wishes like Katherine's come true.

On July 16, 2017, Katherine received her Angel Wings. Please join us in keeping Katherine's family in your prayers.

Sock it to Cancer

Attention teachers, principals, clubs, and schools, WE NEED YOU, to help Kellsies Hope Foundation “Sock it to Cancer”.  Here’s how it works.  We deliver the socks and the kids take them home, decorate them if they want to, and save their change in the sock for 2 weeks. They bring the socks back to school and we collect them.  What a great way to get kids and families involved in raising awareness about childhood cancer!  You can make it competitive by offering incentives for classes that collect the most change, students that have the best decorated sock and more.  The change adds school raised over $8,000.00 and last year $100,000.00 was collected!!  Can you or anyone you know help Kellsie’s Hope “Sock it to Childhood Cancer”? Please contact Gail at with any questions or to make arrangements to get your socks!!

First $1,000.00 Scholarship Winner

Kellsie was enrolled at Goldfarb School of Nursing when she relapsed for the 2nd time with Osteosarcoma. She was planning on becoming a pediatric oncology nurse. Because of Kellsie’s passion for nursing and wanting to give back to her hospital family at Children’s Hospital, Kellsie’s Hope Foundation awards an annual nursing scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize the achievements of individuals who are interested in pediatric oncology nursing and what they have done, above and beyond, to positively impact a patient’s life.

We are honored to announce that our first $1,000.00 Professional Nursing Scholarship goes to Christine Carr. Christine works full time at St. Louis Children’s Hospital on the oncology floor and PRN at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in the emergency room. Christine said she looks at working with pediatric patients more as a fun play date than work. Dancing like Rapunzel, racing down the hall like Lightening McQueen, creating snow like Queen Elsa and having a light saber battle like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader are some of the things that she does to help put a smile on a child’s face and to put the attitude of “no fear” in their mind.

Christine is currently enrolled at Chamberlain College of Nursing and is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, BSN.

Congratulations Christine!
