States of Hope!

It's time once again for our annual States of Hope Campaign! In an effort to make Kellsie’s wish come true, and to Celebrate the 5 year anniversary of Kellsie’s Hope Foundation, we are launching the annual “States of Hope” campaign next week, July 6th on Kellsie’s Birthday.  Kellsie was very determined to Raise Awareness of Childhood Cancer and what better gift to honor her legacy is to donate from your state and spread the word.

Did you know that 43 children are being diagnosed with cancer every day, and yet Childhood Cancer Research is vastly and consistently underfunded?

Please help us Celebrate Kellsie’s Birthday by making a minimum $5 donation and sharing this request with 5 more people.  Our goal is to raise $500 or more from each state making the state turn GOLD, the Color of Childhood Cancer.  All donations go directly to fund research for Childhood Cancers.

Please go to  http://kellsieshopefoundation.com/states-of-hope/ and DONATE on July 6th, and let’s see how many states we can Raise Awareness in and maybe even turn GOLD on her Birthday.  Check back on our website and on Facebook to see our progress throughout the campaign!

And remember, There's No Place Like Hope!

PlayStation 4 for Alec!

10 yr old Alec who was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, a little over a year ago. He was just reaching the end of his treatment plan and looking forward to hearing the news of clear scans when he caught a viral infection that attacked his heart. You would never guess after meeting him that this walking miracle would have been through his heart stopping for 2-3 minutes, 4 open heart surgeries in a week, a brain ...bleed, a possible stroke, and 42 days in the PICU. Alec still has a long way to go but his heart is improving and he has clear scans.

Kellsie's Hope brought Alec a care package we heard he might be wanting. These pictures do not do justice to the surprise in his eyes, the smile on his face, and the excitement in his voice when Alec opened his new PlayStation 4, extra controller, headphones, multiple games, charging station, and a 2 yr membership to play online. I wish everyone could have felt his excitement in person!

A special thanks to Best Buy in Edwardsville, Illinois for helping Kellsie’s Hope Foundation make this gift possible for Alec!

Kahok Strikeout Cancer Game!

The Collinsville Kahok Baseball team, and the Pinchhitters Booster Club chose Kellsie's Hope Foundation as the charity for this years Strikeout Cancer Game. Kellsie's younger brother Parker is a Senior on the Kahok team. What a honor and a great ending to Parker's high school baseball career to be able to play for Kellsie and to know that all proceeds from the game will go to his sisters Foundation to Help Children with Cancer. To make the day even more special they asked Kellsie's Dad, Dan Marchbanks,  to throw out the first pitch to Parker. Thank you to the Kahok Players and Fans, Pinchhitters, and also the opposing team Freeburg Baseball Fans for a wonderful day and lasting memories. The Pinchhitters presented Kellsie's Hope with a check for $964.00!
