In October I'm running a workshop that's suitable for beginners and anyone wanting to explore working expressively. It's set over three days, but you can do only one or two days if you prefer.
When: Sunday 18, Monday 19, Tues 20 October 2015 Where: Portree, Isle of Skye
Day 1: Sketching on location, info collection and learning to look
Working with watercolour, pencil and ink. If the weather’s wild, we’ll find a coffee shop with a view!
Day 2: Intro to acrylics and expressive painting, developing ideas into a composition
Exploring the different types of acrylics available (heavy body, fluid, slow-drying), mediums (texture paste etc.), and brands. Using sketches, memories and photos to develop a composition.
Day 3: Creating a painting using your composition (small canvas provided, larger can be bought) and exploring expressive techniques.
Cost: £180 for three days including use of materials, a small sketchbook and small canvas for three days. £60 for a single day.
How many people: Maximum four, three places available. The workshop will definitely be running. The dates can't be changed because were arranged specially to fit with someone's holiday on Skye.
How to Book: Simply reply to this email and let me know you're interested.
