Dear Friends,

As you may know, Fran Bowman heartbreakingly passed away in November. Fran was the creator of Orton Gillingham "Plus", a fabulous reading intervention program that has been used by thousands of teachers for decades, helping tens of thousands of students with dyslexia learn to read, write, and spell.  Fran's passing is a tremendous loss for the dyslexia community, as she was a tireless advocate for our students.
When Fran became gravely ill, she asked Stephanie Pratt to carry on her legacy of training teachers and tutors in OG "Plus". Stephanie is a Dyslexia Specialist through the International Dyslexia Association and Director of the Pratt Program for students with dyslexia at Bishop Walsh School in Cumberland, MD.   For the past several years, Stephanie has worked with Fran to train teachers in Bowman’s Orton Gillingham “Plus”  in Harford, Frederick, Baltimore, Allegany, and Caroline County Public Schools in Maryland, Jefferson and Mineral County Public Schools in West Virginia, as well as many private school teachers.
The next OG "Plus" training is scheduled for February.  Please see the flyer below.  If you know of any teacher, parent, tutor, advocate, etc. who would be interested in this training, would you please pass the flyer along?  Together we will carry on Fran's legacy, and fulfill her favorite hashtag, #untileveryonereads.
