Get Ready for an Exciting Evening of Music!

Veterans Day marks the debut concert for Heroes' Voices: Heroes' Voices Concert to Honor Our Veterans, featuring Pete Escovedo and his Latin Ensemble, OSA – Vocal Rush, and the Heroes’ Voices Bluegrass Band. This extraordinary evening of music will take place at 7:30PM on November 11, 2015 at the newly-renovated Herbst Theater in the historic Veterans War Memorial Building. And best of all, the concert is free to all veterans!

Legendary percussionist Pete Escovedo broke down the barriers between Smooth Jazz, Salsa, Latin Jazz and contemporary music. Combining passion, talent and dedication, Vocal Rush is a three-time national champion a cappella ensemble based at the Oakland School for the Arts (OSA). The Heroes’ Voices Bluegrass Band is an ensemble of extraordinary Bay Area bluegrass performers, all of whom are veterans of the US armed services.

Veterans can obtain free tickets at www.HeroesVoices.org/FreeForVets. The general public can purchase tickets for $40, $30, and $20 at www.cityboxoffice.com/HeroesVoices.
All proceeds from tickets sales will subsidize veterans attending the concert for free!

This special evening is generously sponsored by Rotary Club of San Francisco with support from Luthiers Mercantile International, Inc.

New Heroes' Voices Research Project Begins!

Heroes' Voices is thrilled to be a part of our very first research project in conjunction with Benjamin C. Graham, Ph.D., Program Manager / Researcher, National Center for PTSD, Dissemination & Training Division at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System.

Beginning October 22, there will be eight weeks of guitar sessions, with weekly follow up. Psychological and social metrics will be studied for all participants to better understand the real effects of the Heroes' Voices workshops.

In the coming months, Ben will lead 2 more series of group sessions, with different participants and their metrics will be measured and compared.

Stay tuned for exciting news about this ongoing study!
Thanks to the D'Addario Foundation for their support of the Heroes' Voices research project.
