Join us at the Annual Australia Day Breakfast on the Beach this Tuesday!

What better way to celebrate Australia Day, enjoying a typical Oz-style brekky overlooking the beach at beautiful Narooma.

The annual BBQ breakfast put on by Narooma SLSC and the Narooma Lions Club is on again from 8am til 10am in the carpark below the clubhouse. The brekky always draws a crowd and is a great way to get you in the spirit of Australia Day. The breakfast includes a tea or coffee, sausages, bacon, eggs and toast, topped with your choice of ‘dead horse’ - tomato or BBQ!

Helpers for the Aus Day Breakfast are needed at 6:30am to set up the event. The car park in front of the club will be closed off to cars, boats will be taken out of the shed, tables and chairs will be brought down, as will the BBQ and food.

Anyone available, please let Glenn know you’ll be there to lend a hand by calling or texting 0421209710. We also need helpers selling tickets in our raffle!

Call out for patrolling members to help Oz Day!

Any patrolling members that are able to assist Joe Bourke, Chris Hayward, Curtis and Jade Hancock on Tuesday would be truly appreciated. Even if you can only commit to a half day, we'll take it!

Desperately need a patrol captain, crewperson, ARTC and any more BM/SRC that are available. Contact Claudia Ferguson asap 0477768776.

Narooma Junior Lifesaver of the Year, Travis Stubbs

Travis Stubbs, an Under 14 member who recently acquired his Surf Rescue Certificate, was put forward by Narooma as a nominee for the Branch Junior Lifesaver of the Year.

Travis has been involved in our club since he was a little U6 Nipper. He continually demonstrates great leadership and mentors our younger Nippers each week. This season he took on the challenge of getting his SRC and demonstrates great qualities of a lifesaving patrolling member. Travis always takes on board feedback from mentors and continually strives for improvement on patrol and in his surf sports endeavours,  which has seen him compete at State and NSW Country level in seasons past.

Travis along with candidates from clubs across the Branch were subjected to an interview via Zoom this week conducted by a panel of Branch representatives. The panel congratulated all club nominees on their outstanding applications and interviews and commented on how fantastic our upcoming lifesavers are.

Sophie Bolton and Jesse Coppin of Moruya Surf Life Saving Club were selected from the outstanding group of candidates. Congratulations Travis to be nominated as an exceptional member of our organisation. Well done Travis.

Reminder: Nippers starts back Sunday 31st January.
Same time, same place!

A massive thank you to all our lifesaving members who have been volunteering throughout the holiday period, keeping our community safe and our club operational.

We would love to see a shot of you on the beach in uniform like these two troublemakers - send in your photos, videos, drone footage to or via our Facebook page.
