Last Carnival coming up soon after our last Nippers for the season this weekend

This Sunday (7th April) is the last Nippers training session for the season. It's not the last time we will see you all though, as the Broulee double carnival is on next weekend (13-14 April) and everyone from Under 8's to over 80 who is eligible to, can come along and compete!

The Senior Carnival is Saturday 13th April and junior one on Sunday 14 April.

Well done Elli !

Elli Beecham made the semi-finals in sprints as part of the Surf Life Saving Australia Championships in Queensland last weekend.

More than 300 Surf Clubs from across Australia traveled to  Broadbeach QLD competing in the annual event, which is known as "The Aussies".in SLS circles.

Our 15-year old member qualified for the semi-finals in the 90 metre sprint on Saturday and placed 17th in the beach flags. A fantastic effort at national level

Well done Elli!

Golfy says "thanks heaps"

Narooma Golf Club's General Manager Dominic Connaughton was unable to make our sponsors evening earlier on in the season, due to a family emergency, but was keen to come and see the new IRB in action.

Narooma Golf Club assisted with the purchase of the new IRB along with Club Narooma/Dalmeny through the Clubs NSW Grants program.  We are very fortunate to have the support of both our clubs in our town.  .

Dom is especially fond of surf live-saving as he and his son were rescued from a rip off Dalmeny Beach at Christmas in 2011, when they first moved here from Orange.  They both considered themselves strong swimmers and were amazed and surprised at how quickly they were swept out to sea. They were rescued by one of the Council lifeguards and Dom is forever grateful, stating that the Nippers program and volunteering with SLSC "is one of the best things one can do for confidence and team work".

Dom watched the new IRB go through her paces while she was on  on water safety duty at last Sunday's Nippers and was suitably impressed!

Board training is ON

Board training is on this Friday at with Frothys following on at 6pm at the club-house.  Water Safety and parents also encouraged to join in the fun.

Bronze Requal for next season is on this weekend!

Don't forget that you can get your run swim run and rescue component of the Bronze Medallion requal over and done in the warmer Autumn waters this weekend and the best part is you will be current until April 2020!

All members intending to patrol next season are encouraged to take up this opportunity

Meet down at the Flags/on the beach on which ever day suits you best.
