Latest News

We are making good progress with moving to new premises and are poised to sign the lease. Trustees and solicitors are working hard to get everything signed and sealed so we can start work in April and aim to be up and running in May at the new site. In the meantime The Pink Place will continue to open as usual each Monday from Taylor's Hair Salon.

Meet The Volunteers

Gail Harbers has been volunteering at the Pink Place since Spring 2011. She is a qualified massage therapist and MLD Therapist (Manual Lymphatic Drainage).  She offers advice and MLD sessions to those who have lymphoedemas and gives talks about the lymphatic system. Gail also works as a Volunteer at the Fountain Centre/St. Lukes Cancer Centre at Guildford besides working in her own clinic at home.  She is currently planning launch of the Basingstoke Lymphoedema Support Group which will hopefully start in May at the Basingstoke Hospice.  Like many others at the Pink Place, Gail is an active member of the Fundraising Committee and says that since being with the 'Pink' team, it has given her the opportunity to expand and enhance her life with new like minded friends The Pink Place now plays a very important part of her life and she's very proud to be a part of it.
Tricia Turner joined the Pink Place Therapist team in January 2012.  Her passion is The Bowen Technique because it is a very versatile and effective therapeutic treatment offering significant relief for many conditions.

She is also qualified to do facials, holistic massage, Indian head, Thai foot and manicures. Tricia enjoys the variety that her skills allow her to bring to the Pink Place and enjoys working with the Pink Place team of ladies who are passionate and enthusiastic about providing treatments and support for the weekly visitors.   From the regular feedback received, it’s a real joy to know that we are really making a difference.  When not at the Pink Place, Tricia is kept busy at Advantage Therapies, her therapy business and loves spending time with her two grandchildren, catching up with friends and keeping fit at the Sports Centre
