Take a look at all our company sponsors on our new Supporters  web page

More Volunteers needed
To support our sessions we are always looking for more volunteers and we are especially in need of hairdressers who can spare one morning a month. Other volunteers needed include complementary therapists, beauty therapists, welcomers, coffee makers, cake bakers, helpers at fundraising events. New Tuesday Sessions!

From March we will be opening two Tuesdays a month for extra Pink Place sessions. This will be in addition to our regular Monday sessions. We hope to provide support for more people with cancer and gradually expand to weekly session once we have enough volunteers and resources.
Our Tuesday sessions will be from 10am to 12:30pm and include counselling, massage, beauty therapy and of course refreshments and cakes. Therapists work on rota so exact services vary, but we aim to provide a relaxed and positive environment where our guests can enjoy a bit of pampering, advice and support.

Our first Tuesday sessions will be 3rd March and 17th March -
please email info@thepinkplace.org.uk to book your place now!

We need your Vote!

The Pink Place are keen to expand our services and start up a Drop-In Coffee Morning for anyone with cancer. We will have drinks and cakes available and a counsellor and volunteers to man the sessions. The aim is to provide a relaxed setting where our guests can come and enjoy a drink, some company and get advice or support if needed. Thanks to Qualitasse, we have a professional coffee machine, but we need tables, chairs and sinks to provide the service. There are few places for people with cancer to meet in a comfortable and relaxed environment, so this is a much needed service.

We have applied to the council "Have Your Say Awards" scheme for almost £2000 to pay for the equipment plumbing and changes needed. Awards are decided on Thursday 26th March, 3-7pm at Carnival Hall, Council Road, Basingstoke. The Public get to vote on who they want to receive the money. Votes must be made in person. Please spare us 10mins of your time by attending and voting for us!

Burns Night Success!

Almost 100 guests joined us at our Pink Place Burns Night in January and raised an incredible £1700. Christine and James Rowley from Basingstoke Hospital Radio together with Piper Jim Reid entertained us throughout the evening and DJ Nathan kept us dancing till the midnight hour. Thanks to Holiday Inn for their hospitality and the lovely 5 course meal and to Kathy Williams for organising the event.

Treats Day Jan 2015

Twice a year The Pink Place invite specially selected speakers to come and talk to our guests for a day of talks, information and interest. We also provide our current and past guests with a light lunch - and all for free. Thank you to our guest speakers - Barbara Parry (senior research dietitian at Winchester Hospital), Penny Ericson (author of Chemo Cookbook), Laura and Rebecca from Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, Taking Shape and our own Kathy Williams. Almost 50 people attended the event and enjoyed the variety and quality of talks, company and the free champagne ! (provided by Irwin Mitchell) - what a Treat!

She is very proud and honoured for this recognition and has since been privileged to photograph several Pink Place events, namely 2014 Spring Ball, Summer Picnic, Inspire 14 Awards and  Burns Night 2015.

Bhupinder loves supporting The Pink Place and greatly values the support it provides to the community. She enjoys the company of all the Supporters who make The Pink Place so special.

Debbie Peet

I joined the Pink Place in February 2012 as a volunteer massage therapist. The reason I wanted to volunteer, was I had just moved to the area and I wanted to meet some new people, while doing the job I loved. What I didn't realise was what amazing, inspiring and brave people I would meet, not only the ladies I massage, but also the ones I work alongside.

I work from home with my own business, Debonaire complementary therapies, I am qualified in Swedish and aroma massage, reflexology, Hopi ear candling and Indian head massage.

In my spare time i enjoy walking with my husband and our dog . Time for hobbies is limited as both my boys play football for our local club Hartley wintney, but I do enjoy going to the gym where my daughter works.
