ESP Africa (Pty) Ltd was established in 1980 and is the leading distributor of undercarriage components and reconditioning services in South Africa. ESP has 10 branches thoughout South Africa based in Isando, Benoni, Pretoria, Middelburg, Pinetown, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Kimberley and Kathu.
 

ESP is an authorised distrbutor for the following undercarriage brands:

  • Berco (since 1987)
  • ITM (since 1982)
  • KBJ (since 2012)

ESP has 3 fully equipped undercarriage workshops based in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.

ESP’s largest undercarriage workshop is in Johannesburg and consists of 6 track presses, 3 idler rebuilders and 2 grouser-matics. In addition, Pinetown has 3 track presses, 2 idler rebuilders and a grouser-matic. The same applies in Cape Town. The total ESP Undercarriage staff complement consists of 95 staff which is broken up into 28 sales staff (14 of these are field salesmen), 49 workshop staff and 18 warehouse staff.

ESP’s undercarriage repair service includes:

  • Rebuild idlers
  • re-shell rollers
  • re-strip grouser shoes
  • re-rim sprockets
  • turn pin and bush

ESP stocks in excess of US$9.0m of undercarriage components consisting of link assemblies, grouser shoes, rollers and idlers suitable for popular earthmoving machines such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr, O&K, Fiat Hitachi, Hitachi Zaxis, Sumitomo, Doosan, Bell, Volvo, Samsung and Hyundai.

All of ESP's sales and workshop operations are ISO9001 certified and ESP through its ownership under Invicta Holdings Limited has a BBBEE level 4 status. 
 

Berco CEM 7000 Torque Wrench

Coupled to each track bed that is attached to the PT350 ton track press is the Berco CEM 7000 torque wrench which ensures that the correct torque is applied when fastening the grouser shoes to the link assemblies.

ESP has two PT350 track presses which are able to undertake pin & bush turns for many of the large makes of Earthmoving and Mining machines. In addition, ESP has nine Berco PT200 ton track presses which are able to perform pin & bush turns on link assemblies for all makes of medium sized earthmoving and mining machinery.
