help improve the mvt cid: take the 2016 perception survey!

It's not too late and we need just a few minutes of your time to understand how the MVT CID can better serve your needs and interests. We’ve heard from dozens of your friends and neighbors since launching the survey this month, so if you haven’t already, please take a few minutes to share your perspectives in this year’s Neighborhood Perception Survey. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and your responses will go a long way toward improving the quality of the programs and service offerings provided by the MVT CID.  What’s more, five lucky respondents will win a $50 gift card to a MVT CID retail location of their choice! Should you have any questions about this survey or have any other feedback that you would like to share with MVT CID staff, please contact Thank you for your participation!

promoting mvt cid business opportunities at the wdcep annual meeting
In November, the MVT CID team joined hundreds of DC entrepreneurs, start-up companies, real estate brokers and local “makers” at the Washington DC Economic Partnership’s Annual Meeting + ECON Showcase. The annual event, which featured remarks by DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, Brian Kenner, celebrated economic impact in the nation’s capital. For the MVT CID, the event provided a platform to promote the neighborhood as one of the District's best submarkets in which to do business.
your anc: election results and why they matter
On Election Day, residents selected leaders for our local Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANCs). The MVT CID welcomes Alex Marriott as the ANC Chairman for ANC 6E05 (west of 4th Street, NW) and Kevin Rogers as the ANC Chairman for ANC 6E07 (east of 4th Street, NW). The ANC Chairpersons will be sworn in on Monday, January 2, 2017 and can be reached through the ANC 6E website at Your ANC is a non-partisan, neighborhood body made up of locally elected representatives, a unique feature of the District's Home Rule Charter. ANCs were established to bring government closer to the people, and to bring the people closer to government. We encourage our residents to take an active role in their neighborhood by attending ANC meetings and following ANC leaders on twitter.
winter color takes to the streets in new mvt cid planter program

In the past few weeks, members of the MVT CID Clean Team have worked to install planters along K Street as part of our new street planter program. Our initial plantings are weather-resistant but look for live, seasonal plantings in the spring. We hope to expand the program over time; let us know if you like it!
