RAMADAN - STARTS 6 JUNE


The AAIS Committee would like to inform its respected members that Ramadan will begin on Monday 6 June 2016.

The first night of Teravi prayers begin on Sunday 5 June. It will follow the evening (Isha) prayer at 8pm every night during Ramadan.

The AAIS Youth Centre will only be open on Saturday. It will be open for IFTAR (the breaking of Fast) from 5pm to 10pm. This will provide members and their families with an opportunity to enjoy Iftar together every week.

The Night of Power (Laylatul Kadir) will be on Friday 1 July.  On this special night, the AAIS Committee would like to invite you and your family to IFTAR at the AAIS in Carlton North.

SPORTS FEST THIS SUNDAY

The AAIS Youth Group is holding a Sports Fest this Sunday 29 May at the AAIS Youth Centre.  Doors open at 3pm. Entry is $5 (more|më shumë)

The AAIS Women's Committee is holding its Monthly Information Session for Sisters conducted in the Albanian language on Wednesday 1 May at 7:30pm at the AAIS Youth Centre. Note: Members only (more|më shumë)

ASPIRING LEADERS UMRAH TOUR

On Friday 20 May, the Committee of the AAIS organised a special information session for financial members at the Youth Centre titled 'Aspiring Leaders Umrah Tour'.

AAIS Financial Member, Br. Amet Balla, began his presentation by informing everyone about the program, which is offered by Human Appeal International Australia (HAI), and the critera that needed to be met to become a successful candidate for the expedition (more|më shumë)

BIGGEST MORNING TEA

On Sunday 15 May, the AAIS Women's Committee hosted its second 'Australia's Biggest Morning Tea event to support the Cancer Council.

This year's event was held at the AAIS in Carlton North and it was very pleasing to have so many of our members, as well as guests from Melbourne's Christian and Jewish communities, our friendly neighbours and many others in the local community attend the day (more|më shumë)

CAUSES OF CANCER

On Friday 13 May, the Committee of the AAIS organised a special information session for financial members at the Youth Centre titled 'Causes of Cancer'.

After a brief welcome and introduction by AAIS President, Vahid Goga, the guest speaker for the evening, Dr. Mohammed Awad, began his presentation by talking about the increasing number of people in Australia that are affected by cancer (more|më shumë)

BACHAR HOULI ACADEMY

The Bachar Houli academy is a week long program based in Melbourne during September. Designed by Bachar, this program is all about giving opportunities and providing a pathway for young Muslim men aspiring to play AFL football  (more|më shumë)
