Dataset for GES expanded

In cooperation with H. Van Waelvelde and her students, 78 new participants were tested with the Gentse Electronic Writing Test. An example of how the GES looks can be found on the left side.
Revised BIPAC (Aphasia test)
The BIPAC (Needs Inventarisation and Problem Analysis of Communicative Activities) was originally developed in 2001 by R.G. Sevat, speech therapist and I.M.E. Heesbeen, neuropsychologist, by order of Zorgaccent Amersfoort.

This test contains 100 brand new, full colour photos. These pictures and the revised test were created by Metrisquare's partners at Hogeschool Zuyd using the Metrisquare test development module. This test is distributed via www.meetexpert.nl and can be administered in any webbrowser.

Maud Grouls starting PhD studies

In 2014, Maud Grouls (VU Amsterdam) will start a PhD study on neuropsychology and sports. She will investigate the effect of fight sports on cognitive performance, using Metrisquare DiagnoseIS. Her promotor will be Prof. Dr. E. Scherder, and her copromotors will be Dr. A. Pijnenburg and Dr. M. Hendriks. Starting a PhD on neuropsychology and sports is not a coincidence: she has always loved sports and it is her passion.
After finishing her bachelor in Mental Health, she did the master Mental Health and the master Neuropsychology at the UM in Maastricht. Then, she went to the Radbout Universiteit in Nijmegen for a third master: Healthcare Psychology. During her clinical and research internships at Kempenhaeghe she worked with Dr. M. Hendriks and learned about neuropsychological assessment and diagnostics. In addition, she already has some experience as a psychologist, teacher and a researcher using DiagnoseIS. Metrisquare is really looking forward on working with Maud.
Second Edition Metrisquare Symposium
After a great success in 2013, Metrisquare is planning to organise the second edition of the Metrisquare Symposium on June 27th in Den Bosch. More information will follow soon.
