Registration now open for University of Mary Washington Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) prep class
GO Virginia Region 6 approved $110,000 in funding in May 2019 to the University of Mary Washington (UMW) to train students in the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification program.

UMW has utilized GO Virginia funding to pay for instructor salaries, course material for students, and marketing efforts. Contributed match from the Chesapeake Bay Consortium Workforce Development Board and several local jurisdictions paid for tuition waivers for students to attend the program a little to no cost.

There are currently 60 jobs open, across 30 different employers, that want employees to have the CISSP certification.

Registration is now open for the Fall 2021 12-week session beginning in September or a one-week boot camp at the end of August. To learn more visit UMW’s CISSP page: https://bit.ly/3k5tj3d
