As we observe the United Nations’ 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Silvana shares a closer look at the challenges women face in the region and what open government reforms can do to address some of those challenges. In Argentina, a woman is killed every 34 hours. Following massive feminist protests demanding an end to gender-based-violence, protection of reproductive rights, and promotion of gender equality, the Government of Argentina worked with citizens lay out concrete actions to address these issues.
