Announcing workshops for the new year!
But first, let's take a look back at 2016:
The Natural Areas Training Academy (NATA) is currently in its 17th year of operation. We presented 5 workshops in 2016, for a total of 3,968 instructor-student contact hours. There were 123 participants representing more than 40 organizations. In addition, 31 instructors representing 13 different entities (state, federal, county, and city agencies, private and non-profit organizations, universities, and military) providing their expertise this year to the Academy. The Certificate in Natural Areas Management (CNAM) was earned by 3 professional land managers who completed the five-workshop series, bringing the total number of CNAM graduates to 148. Since its inception, 1276 people have participated in NATA workshops. You can read our full 2016 annual report here.
