Issue #32
A weekly newsletter for black women in tech.

Hello <<First Name>>! ,

Happy Tuesday 👋🏾!

Were you tuned into the VMA's 😍? It was pretty lit 🔥. I don't have a TV but better believe I caught up online today, thank you twitter. #throwitback, Missy is the OG and well deserved the Vanguard award 👏🏾!

Speaking of Missy Elliot, why haven't we as a society taken much notice in the integration of Afro-Futurism and Tech in her videos for years? I did a search and this seems to be a little-discussed topic, however, I did find this book, "Music and Technoculture". The book is about how music practices are transformed by new technologies. The book has a dedication section to Missy Elliots Afrofuturism and Tech influence.
