Hey 👋🏾,

Happy Tuesday! This past week, I checked out the Black Tech Unplugged podcast. The shade on Episode 022 is exactly the fun convo about tech I needed to hear this week. Deena and her friends talk about defining what it means to be in tech and what are actual technical roles. Check out the episode here

I didn't watch the Oscars, however, I did follow up the next morning to check in how many black folks won 😏. I'm very proud at all the Black Panther wins. But we all know it should have won best picture ✊🏿.

Back to tech, have you noticed all the cool things folks are doing with Glide? In my spare time, I've been working on a directory. Anyone else giving it a try? I would love to see what you are building.

Alright Enjoy,

✨Tip Of The Week ✨

Last week's tip was focused on mentorship. But what about asking for help in general? As an independent black woman, it can be hard to admit one needs help in their career. Perhaps once we land that mentor, we may hold back from seeking help from others as well, from all different backgrounds. Don't miss out, open your horizon! Everyday coworkers and peers may have more experience than us in particular software or service needed to succeed at our job. It's ok and doesn't make you seem any less to ask peers for help on learning something unfamiliar.
