Issue #49
The Leading Community Elevating Black Women in Tech
300+ Members across CHI, SF, LA, NY, ATL, & LDN

Hello <<First Name>> 👋🏾,

Happy Friday! I can't believe next week will be our 50th issue. Should we do something special?

Tomorrow for the podcast, I am interviewing Donna Auguste, Ph.D.

🖥Community Platform
In lieu of finding ways to cut operations costs, I finally decided to change up the back end of Frauvis. Moving from various costly no-code solutions to a hybrid custom-built all-in-on solution. I started two weeks ago and so far the new stack is, Gatsbyjs, Airtable API, Wayscript, Netlify, and Node-Red. I won't make any promises on what exactly will be built 🤐, so just follow along 😅.

Many people keep secrets about how their projects are built. Yet, I believe the best way to help others learn is to be open and share. What we might think is common knowledge might be unknown information for someone else. For many who read this newsletter, this may be your first time hearing of Sanity or Gatsbyjs or Netlify and for others, they may have been using these technologies for years.

That's all for now. If you have any ideas for our 50th issue, questions for Donna, or suggestions for our new community stack, simply reply to this email and share your thoughts!

Thank you <<First Name>> for being a subscriber and community member. And one more thing, if you aren't a member yet, or know someone who would like to be a member, please fill out this form here. 👋🏾💃🏾
