Can you believe it's February!

We hope you are having a productive start to the year! It's been an extremely busy couple of months for the Bookeasy team. Our training guru Chris has been up and down the country providing on-site training in Tasmania, WA, Victoria and Queensland.

December in Tassie saw the teams of the Tasmanian Travel Centre, Sheffield, West Coast, Great Western Tiers and Launceston come together for some collaborative training. A great initiative!

Later, Chris travelled to Western Australia and caught up with plenty of our WA destination partners to provide some Bookeasy refresher training!

Quick tips!

Common Support questions

The Support team have kept busy over the festive season and we thought we would share some of the most common questions (and answers) we've been asked recently:
  • Why is my new password not working?
Check if you have password 'auto-fill' enabled in your web browser.  If enabled, when you are making changes on a page that contains the username and password field, you may be inadvertently updating operators logins. Thus overriding their login details.
  • Why do I keep getting the same error all the time? 
Chances are that clearing your Cache will assist in resolving this.
  • How does an operator get their channel manager connected to Bookeasy?

What's New?

Rezdy is up and running!

It's great to see more than 1,400 bookings made in the past 30 days via the recently released Rezdy Integration. This connectivity means that Destination partners now have access to real-time availability and rates for several Tour and Activity operators who use Rezdy, without having to pick up the phone.

To date, we have 150 Tour operators connected providing more than 1,000 bookable products across Australia.

We are in the process of rolling out the Rezdy implementation for Bookeasy Tour operators on a State by State basis. If we haven't reached out to you yet, don't panic we'll be in touch very soon!

Bookeasy Development Updates

Bookeasy is excited to announce a variety of enhancements to some of the most used pages in Bookeasy.

Last year we undertook significant behind the scenes enhancements to our technology platform, by converting our application to a new Architectural Paradigm - MVC. What this means is that the platform will be strengthened resulting in fewer bugs, easier to enhance and better looking.

Platform Upgrade
Additionally, the development team has kept busy through the past few months, releasing a number of enhancements and bugs fixes. Some of the updates are below:
  • GST Changes - A holistic review and changes to the way GST reflects throughout Bookeasy was completed
  • Operator Images - The number of images available for operators to upload to their consoles has now been increased from 6 to 37
  • Several enhancements to the Rezdy Supply Partner Integration

Recipe for Success!

A big shout-out to the team at the Tasmanian Travel Centre in Hobart! They bit the bullet and launched Bookeasy in December right when their peak season was about to hit.

With highly engaged staff and operators, implementing Bookeasy touch screens as well as using the Retail POS module, they embraced the full Bookeasy suite of solutions.

Complemented by a high number of instant bookable (gold medal) operators (including Rezdy suppliers) = a record number of bookings have been processed via Bookeasy for any Destination for the last 2 months! Well done to the team and keep up the tremendous work!
