Cherry Castle Publishing's The Overground Railroad

The Overground Railroad is a new anthology soon to hit the streets from Cherry Castle Publishing. (The book drops this month, but you can pre-order it for $10.00 - half of the proceeds will go to The Gwendolyn Brooks Center). I reviewed this anthology on my blog: I’m still reeling from these poems produced in a workshop that poets Truth Thomas and Derrick Weston Brown conducted at Chicago State University last year, according to the blog post. Help Get Astra to Norfolk State University

I met Astra a few years ago, when I taught at Duke Ellington School of the Arts. She had some challenges, but, with some help, she went from being a student with a 1.2 GPA to maintaining a 3.5 GPA, and securing eleven college acceptances. Now, she's raising money to get to NSU.
