In The Thick of It

This is a good time to assess your term and your plans for exploring majors. We hope the Majors/Minors Fair was a good start. Next, talk to declared students and advisors in the departments. Learn more so you can make an informed decision over the next two semesters and find the right major for you.

 Now that you've had your first exams, determine what you want or need to do differently for your next exams. It may be important to connect with your instructors, friends in your classes, and academic resources. Connect and collaborate - that's how you get through your classes!

Those first exams were tough. You're not the only one who has been hit hard by an exam. Our Peer Advisors have been there, so learn from their experience. Get their suggestions for recovering from first exams and more importantly, how to move forward successfully. 
Connect and collaborate - that's how you get through your classes!  In addition to instructors' office hours, utilize these effective resources for your core courses: Engineering Learning Center, Math Lab, Science Learning Center, and Physics Help Room. Great resources for studying for exams!
This is the time to plan your Winter Term classes.  Backpacking starts November 12. Our schedules will fill up quickly as we approach Thanksgiving, so schedule today!

The Engineering Career Resource Center holds drop-in hours to chat with a peer advisor about your resume, the ECRC resources, and how to navigate your Engineering Careers online portal. Having a polished resume ready to go is important, even in your first year. You never know when a campus job, scholarship, or research opportunity may come up! Stop by soon!
