"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about."

- Margaret J. Wheatley

As we enter the holiday season, I am reflective and thankful for the opportunities our community provides for others. What I have learned in the past two years and now four grant cycles is, "if there is a will, there is definitely a way!"

When I first met the donor of the new Local Performing Arts Grants for McIntyre Hall Expenses & Fees endowment fund, I immediatley admired her desire for action and to make a difference. She envisioned a new way to support the arts in our community, and within a matter of months our newest grant cycle launched. Her generosity has ensured many performing arts organizations receive financial support that did not exist before- this year and into the future. Supporting ideas such as this is exactly why the Community Foundation is here.

I'm thankful for every inspiring individual who gives back to our community with a vision and generous heart.
