P-EBT provides families with children eligible for free or reduced-price school meals with funds to help buy food since schools were closed this Spring due to the pandemic. You can receive up to $279 per eligible child to stretch your food budget.
Apply for the Colorado Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) Benefit
Here’s how it works:
Share some basic information.
You will be required to provide the students' names, birthdays, the name of the head of household, a phone number and a mailing address. If we can not verify that the student was receiving free and reduced price meals, we will also ask about your income for the months of March, April and May.
We will make sure you’re eligible.
We'll check to make sure your family can get P-EBT. Immigration status is not considered in your eligibility for P-EBT. P-EBT is not part of the public charge.
Get a P-EBT card in the mail or use the EBT card you already have.
If approved, you will get a P-EBT card with money on it for groceries. The card will come with instructions on how to use it.
For those who have had an EBT card in the past for any Colorado program such as Food Assistance (SNAP), Colorado Works, or Old Age Pension, your money will be loaded to that card! If you need a replacement card, you will need to fill out this form requesting a replacement. Make sure you complete this form after applying for the benefit.
