in cooperation with the The New York Library Association Sustainability Initiative, bring you Drawdown: a Book Discussion along with a series of programs related to the solutions
presented in the book.


Drawdown: the most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming, by Paul Hawkin, provides a rigorous review of the top 100 solutions for reducing the amount of carbon emissions released into the earth’s atmosphere.

Amy Levis, author of Visual Verbiage, will show us a fun, new way to learn vocabulary in a mini workshop for anyone in fifth grade  through adult. She will also be available for a book signing.

Seeds of Hope Screening
March 26th, 6 PM


Informal screening of Seeds of Hope (24.35 minutes, Oceans 8 Films. This short documentary tells the story of this collaborative initiative to preserve Native American culture and foodways through seed saving followed by a discussion and Q&A with Ken Green of Seedshed.

The Funshine Merrymakers will rock the house with their kid-friendly antics, funny skits, magic tricks and silly songs. There will be lots of audience participation and surprises too! As educators and entertainers, Happy Dan and Rainbow have delighted children for many years. Join the fun! This program is open to all ages.
