USA tank and Terrier double at the KESR - Last Call

March 7th & 8th 2016

Good afternoon all

Many thanks to everyone who has booked this event in what is becoming a very busy spring. There are some places available for those who haven't yet made up their mind.

With the running season, engineering work and other events dates at the KESR are at a premium and these may be the only charters on the KESR in 2016, so I'm very very grateful to the KESR for allowing 30742 Charters to have these dates.

Perhaps even more importantly 30065 also  comes out of ticket in the next 12 months, so this may well be the only opportunity to have a photo charter with her on her home railway and hopefully further increases the incentive to join us. As you can see in the attached image (courtesy of Andrew Hardy) she looks superb in BR black. Indications are that this probably won't be the livery she returns in after overhaul.  We have full use of the line from Tenterden to Bodiam and all being well have the brilliant services of Alan, Cathy and Andrew from the railway who really helped to make our October event so enjoyable. The stock will from the lines collection of bauxite opens and box vans as well as a BR(S) brake van .

Details of the days as follows . .

Monday March 7th 2016

Our first day features USA tank 30065 on a goods rake . We were very pleased to be asked to assist and sponsor the transformation of the this loco into late crest BR black last year. As the loco has now had some time to weather it is a highly opportune moment to have a charter with the engine. The engine faces towards Tenterden.  We expect to start at Rolvenden around 9am (This will hopefully be a little earlier) and have full run of the line with an expected finish around 5:30pm (some flexibility if we have a good sunset) . Cost is £62.50

Tuesday March 8th 2016

Our second day features Terrier 32670 which is in late crest BR black . As a change from our successful sold out date last Autumn the engine faces towards Bodiam opening up a different selection of images . We again plan to use a short freight set synonymous with this classic former Colonel Stephens byway . We expect to start at Rolvenden around 9am (This will hopefully be a little earlier) and have full run of the line with an expected finish around 5:30pm (some flexibility if we have a good sunset) . Cost is £62.50

Special price for both days of £120

I appreciate these dates unfortunately clash with Bob Branch's Saxony trip plus proximity to the WSR gala however these are the only available dates this spring on the KESR .  If you are interested can you e-mail me to secure your place  on

To give you a flavour of the images that are on the line please have a look at the gallery from our October event

We look forward to welcolming you on our event on the KESR in March
