LEADERSHIP TIP:
Becoming a Leader with a Voice Pt. II

Adapted from Keith Johnson's article in Children's Ministry
What makes a great leader? How can you have a lasting impact on those you serve?

Last month we started exploring the 7 Characteristics that define Great Leaders. The first 2 characteristics were: 1) Love Jesus: Know & experience Him daily and 2) Love People: If you can't stand the smell of sheep, get out of the pastorate.

Having a voice into a person's life (whether adult or child) is the result of a Great Leader.

#3. Involve Members
A Great Leader must involve members and integrate them into ministry. We are responsible for building up our Timothy.

#4. Keep Learning
A Great Leader is a lifelong learner who is always hungry for excellence, knowledge, and opportunities to enhance their ministry and grow.

REGIONAL EVENTS UPDATES:
North Carolina & New York
A couple of regional events have taken placed through the Fellowship of Christian Puppeteers and our ministry partners and we'd love to share these with you!
In September, the Carolina FCP hosted their Day of Training! 20 people from NC, SC, WV, and GA gathered together for a time filled with great conversations, learning new techniques, and meeting fellow Christian leaders and creatives.
In October, FCP member Barb Field led the Kids Ministry Workshop in upstate New York with FCP President Kristofer Sommerfeld and his wife Amanda. The 20-person event was an intimate learning experience focused on learning and letting the Lord move.
"It is amazing how God works and the things he does. God kept tugging at my heart and telling me that I need to do something. This was more than a convention, it was something that I really needed."
This weekend, we hosted a free virtual workshop with JJ Graves. 29 people from across the US joined live to explore the value of character development in puppetry. Missed it? The recording is available until midnight and available 24/7 to members in the member portal!
"Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ."
Ephesians 4:11-12
