National Conference Recap | Carolina FCP | Volunteer Opportunities

"What a blessing! This was full of God-connections, oodles of knowledge and a God-send."
Sharon Tucker (Luray, VA)
Our National Conference in Hagerstown, MD brought together attendees from 15 states ranging from New York and Maine to Iowa and Indiana to Colorado and California. From July 25th through the 28th, we were so blessed with the time we invested together and would love to share a taste of our experience with you!
"Spirit-Filled Week"
Each morning kicked off with prayer led by a prayer team member followed by praise and worship with our worship team leaders, Anna & Danielle.

We then explored our theme "Step Out" with our Devotions Leader, Linda MacAuslan, through daily scripture reading and devotions.
"I felt accepted in a place of worship and good vibes. I learned more than words can speak and felt inspired to live my life more fully."
Caleb Wray (Lochbuie, CO)
"Lots of Ideas"
Mornings and afternoons were filled with almost 50 different classes offered over 13 sessions.

Workshops explored puppetry techniques, creative ministry techniques, construction, leadership, and special topics like "Presenting the Gospel" and "Extreme Puppet Stage Makeover."
FOCUS Showcase
We also introduced 3-part "FOCUS Workshops," where participants dove into different levels of puppetry or creative ministry technique while learning a performance piece.

Kendra Sommerfeld & Sedric T. Squirrel wove these performances into this special themed program while challenging attendees to Step Out!
"FCP was a wonderful time of fellowship, worship, and great learning. It's an opportunity to form new friendships, to learn to brainstorm new ideas to take home."
Gail Russell (Post Falls, ID)
"Outstanding Performances"
Each evening we'd come together for Main Stage Performances by puppeteers, creative ministry teams, professional artists and even attendees!

This year we had an exceptional variety of styles in puppetry and creative ministry performance.
"I really love to come to FCP; It feels like I've known every one forever and it's because of the love of God that pours out of everyone."
Elizabeth Otero (Haverstraw, NY)
"Felt like Family"
Without a doubt, what we treasure most about FCP is the rich fellowship we share with passionate Christian creatives from across the country.

Everyone, from our directors to board to staff to attendees, is generously investing their time and energy to equip and encourage the Body of Christ.
"It is the only conference I have ever walked away from with tears in my eyes. Thanks again for the wonderful experience and opportunity..."
Carolyn Avery (Raleigh, NC)
