Dear Library Community,

July is here and summer reading continues! You can still pick up a bag for kids and teens or a packet for adults. For teens and adults, don't forget to fill out your bingo card and return it by July 31 to enter our drawing for fun and fabulous prizes.

Have you tried curbside pickup yet? Just give us a call or use our online form to request up to three items. We are happy to select things for you, too! Librarians love to pick out books or movies you'll enjoy. (details and link below)

On July 9, Book Brunch will be discussing Agatha Christie's The Secret Adversary.
If you haven't joined our book club before, this is the perfect time. Book Brunch meets on Zoom every Thursday at 10:30 AM. You've still got time to read it and participate!

Finally, please join us in welcoming new library board member, Sandy Kuhlman! Sandy will serve the remainder of departing board member Mark Tilton's term, which ends in June 2021. And a special thank you to Mark for his years of service on the board!

As always, check out our website for COVID-19 news and resources. There's also a page of fun and interesting things to do at home.

Take care of yourselves, and we can't wait to see you again soon!
Imagine Your Story: Summer Reading 2020
Get Your Packet: Monday-Thursday, 11 AM - 2 PM, Friday, 11 AM - 6 PM

This year's summer reading program looks a little different. Stop by to pick up a packet outside the library for kids, teens, or adults. Kids get a passport booklet to track their reading. Teens and adults get a book bingo card to fill out and enter in a prize drawing at the end of July. We've also got summer reading bags for kids and teens, while supplies last.

For teens and adults, don't forget to return your completed bingo entry card by July 31. You can drop it off during curbside pickup hours, or mail it to our Florence address.

Siuslaw Reading Challenge
We are modifying this year's challenge. You only have to get 10 punches on your entry card for the year (not all 12), and you can decide which months to skip. See the full details and list of themes on our website: https://www.siuslawlibrary.info/reading-challenge.

July's theme is Newbery and Caldecott winners. These awards are given for excellence in writing and illustrating children's books. Read more about the Newbery Medal and the Caldecott Medal. The library owns many of these titles, and we can always help you find one to read.
