Amelia Earhart Statue by Jane DeDecker

A life size, bronze statue of Amelia Earhart, has been commissioned from Jane DeDecker, a nationally recognized artist, by the Frank Bette center.  The purchase was made through a generous grant from the Davis Family Foundation.  It is being gifted to the Amelia Earhart Elementary School on Bay Farm Island to stand in front of their campus.   Additional funds are needed to ensure its safe and secure installation by state mandated guidelines on a school campus.   You can be a part of this extraordinary community effort to bring Amelia back to Alameda, next to where she started her ill-fated round the world flight, by donating to  GoFundMe.
