In this exhibit at Frank Bette Center for the Arts, we have gathered the work of four Bay Area urban sketch artists who have agreed to share a glimpse into their sketchbooks.

We are looking forward to biggest annual event!
40 artists from all over the United States come to Alameda to paint our suburban island - its beaches; marinas; historic Victorian homes and business districts; California bungalows; Naval Air Station; the USS Hornet and other ships; parks and tree lined streets. This year we have artists from all parts of California, New York, Oregon, Nevada, Tennessee, and Vermont.
Wednesday, August 1 - Quick Draw Competition
Artists for 2.5 hours in a predetermined location
· 9-11:30 am Artists paint on Park Street from the Bay to Estuary
· 2-7 pm Quick Draw paintings are on exhibit and for sale
at Frank Bette Center for the Arts back yard

Saturday, August 4 - Exhibit and Sale of all the paintings from the 2018 Plein Air Paintout
· 10 am - 6 pm at South Shore Center between Neptune Court
and Center Court Park Street at Otis Drive, Alameda
