Eyewise owner, Dr. Alex Lukens hosts the reception to showcase the artwork of graphic artist, Phillip McPherson and abstract photographer Ginnie Chabre.
McPherson uses his camera and his computer to create and manipulate images he transfers to supersized canvases. Chabre creates wonderful abstract photography.  
We look forward to seeing you there. The show is on display at Eyewise through the end of February 2015 during regular office hours.

ARTIST IN THE HOUSE
Artist: Nancy Lovelady

Nancy demonstrates how to mosaic a 3-D art piece, answers questions, and creates a unique piece of art right in front of you! Free event. 
Nancy Lovelady has been making mosaics since 2007.  She enjoys working with a range of media and sees almost every surface as a potential canvas. Primarily self-taught, Nancy attended classes at Berkeley's Institute of Mosaic Art.  Her artwork is currently on display and for sale at the Bette.

Thanks to artist Deborah Griffin for the artwork, Chrysalis (digital collage, shown here), that appears on our "in the Cards" postcard. Drop by the Center and pick up a handful of these cards to distribute to your friends, neighbors, and to leave in your local coffee shop. Together, we can ensure our artists' work is viewed and appreciated in our town.

Déjà vu Coming Soon
Save your gently used collectables and art for Déjà Yu!  This year we accept donations from January 15 to Jan 18 or by appointment. The silent auction preview is Friday Jan 23 and Saturday Jan 24. The auction party is Sunday Jan 25th from 7-9:00PM.  You do not need to be present to win, but you are more likely to win with last minute bids.
 
Raffle winners for the Scott Martin paintings will also be announced on Jan 25.  Raffle tickets sold up to the last minute.
Calls for Entry
The Frank Bette Center for the Arts welcomes new perspectives and interesting artistic voices. All media is welcome including paintings, photo-based art, textile and fiber arts, decorative and wearable arts, sculpture, metal work, jewelry, glass arts, wood, etc.
The majority of our exhibiting artists are from the greater Bay Area and northern California although we welcome applications from farther afield. 
Exhibiting artists do not need to be Center members although we encourage membership and our artist members are eligible for many benefits.
