The Secret Art Sale was a big success!
We want to take this opportunity to thank all those artists and students who recently participated in the First Annual Frank Bette Secret Art Sale at South Shore Center.  We were very excited to receive over 500 pieces of 5 x 7 art, approximately 75 % of art from Students and 25% from Artists. With our Community’s help, we were able to raise close to $3000.  The funds will be split between the Frank Bette Center and proportionally among all participating schools.
We especially want to thank some of the following artists who donated art and helped make this event a success: Adele Aced, Sandi Adams, Cecilia Berber, Andrea Bishop, Michele Bock, David Bock, Kirsten Bramstedt, Beth Bourland, Karen Braun-Malpas, D’Arci Bruno, Barbara Buhrz, Judy Chamberlain, Carrie Clinton, Arielle Crenshaw, Nancy Crookston, Garr Crookston, Barbara DiSalvo, Alice Dockter, Jan Erion, Margaret Fago, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Marilyn Flowers, Mike Gifford, Crissi Goldman, Taggart Gorman, Phil Hargrave, Bill Jeng, Barbara James, Ronald Johnson, Cathryn Jones, Margaret Lee, Charles Lucke, Pons Maar, Sue Matthews, Michael McDonough, Andy McKee, Ron Miller, Ron Parini, Shirley Rae Parini, John Pearson, Marc Ribaud, Mark Ritter, Bill Silveira, Jan Stamos, Darv Teare, Droth Thompson, Kris Warrenburg, Betsy Watson and Allen Williams.  Special thanks to the Anita Sulimanovic and Jennifer Williams Studios for their participation.

We are proud to exhibit a retrospective of Frank Bette’s art. Frank Bette was a painter, sculptor, master furniture restorer, poet and humanitarian.  Upon his death in 1999 at the age of 96, he bequeathed the Victorian House as “a place for meetings, readings, showings, and other creative doings.”
