High Street Bridge by Barbara James, Call for Art Award
The Frank Bette Center for the Arts is excited to have the opportunity to showcase the sensational artwork of a prolific young artist, Deepa Kataria. Although her work is absolutely original, she has been deeply inspired by the late abstract expressionist, Richard Diebenkorn. Multiple layers of oil paint on her canvases add intense richness to her linear images. This prolific artist will be showing her artwork at our Center's Satellite Gallery, Eyewise Optometry, from February 6th through May 26, 2017.
Dr. Alex Lukens, owner of Eyewise, will be hosting a reception for this remarkable artist on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Come enjoy some wine and fine comestibles as you view Deepa's extraordinary paintings and meet this talented young painter. Eyewise is located at the Bridgeside Shopping Center, 2651 Blanding, Suite B in Alameda (near Nob Hill Grocery).

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE SECRET ART SALE! Artists • Students • Vounteers • South Shore Center
It was quite a success! We sold nearly 200 pieces of art. Many students were proud to display and sell their artwork. Some who bought student artwork wrote notes to the students, complimenting them on their work. We had such a nice turnout, which is due, in part to the generosity of South Shore Center for allowing us to use the space, and posting A-frame signs to advertise the event.
THIS EVENT WAS A FUNDRAISER FOR THE FRANK BETTE CENTER
