Follow Up - and back injury update!
Dear SRN Subscribers,
Follow-up on our Evening of Discernment
Our Evening of Discernment
on Tuesday September 23 went well. Although it was a last minute mini-event, we had a nice little turn out and everyone was encouraged in the faith. Larry DeBruyn
did a wonderful job giving us a biblical perspective on what God's "Presence" is, as opposed to the many counterfeits that are blowing through churches these days. I was able to share a bit too on the reality of "Resistance" and the hostility to God's truth and biblical discernment that many are faced with these days as they confront error and deception in the church - and amongst compromised church leaders. Warren B. Smith
was also with us and was able to join in our 'Question & Answer'
time. We are grateful for all who attended our meeting as it was a blessing and encouragement to all of us.
Back injury re-aggravated
As you may recall, I recently sent out a small Communication Update
, about my work plans for the coming months. I had seriously high hopes that my new local business would be a venture that would help support my family and I, and further the goals/support of our SRN ministry.
Well, unfortunately, I have had to stop work completely
as my former back injury has been severely aggravated. I was hauling and delivering large amounts of water to many local residents here, as we are in a severe water drought. Wrangling 400 feet of garden hoses, 150 feet of fire hoses, and doing some extra gardening work has taken a toll on me. Altogether, if I continue on I will most likely herniate two lumbar vertebrae discs and further damage my already damaged Paraspinal Muscles. I can no longer do any manual labor work and as far as our personal/ministry income, we have no one to rely on but the Lord and His people. This week I am "re-grouping" and considering our options, taking some pain medication, and trusting the Lord. I also have about 30 tumors that need to be removed from my body. They are apparently non-cancerous, but they should all eventually be removed. We don't have any finances for this, but that's beside the point. I feel ruined physically, and I will be looking to the Lord for His strength.
We trust God, we love His Church, and we desire to see more people come to know the love, forgiveness and salvation found only in and through His Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord!
- “...If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” - Jesus (John 8:31-32).
May more people come to KNOW
Him, even if it means that we suffer in order that other may live.
