Would you risk your life?
To save a child?
Or an adult?
On February 28, 2014, this is what the ocean was doing at our local surf break! 21 ft waves...the biggest we've seen here in six years!
That's not that big for Hawaii and many other big wave spots, but its huge for where we live. It rarely gets over 12-13ft here.
As I stood on the cliff a small child walked to the edge, beyond the safety rope! I stood there for a brief moment and I thought to myself, "Am I ready to jump off the cliff and rescue that kid if he falls into the slamming waves and rocks below?" My answer? Yes!, and I was ready too, even though it might cost me my life. I did tell the kid to step back as I really didn't feel like playing Lifeguard again.
But what about you, would you be willing to jump into a 54 degree raging sea, to save a young child? I know for certain that quite a few of you actually would! Praise the Lord!
When it comes to immediate action and rescue missions, the danger factor is often times the last thing we consider. Human lives are worth saving, even though the risks can be extreme. Consider Jesus of Nazareth, the biblical Jesus, not the counterfeit ones that are being played off in many church settings and books and movies today. Jesus took extreme measures to save us from our sin, and ourselves too!!! He gave His life that we may be forgiven and live and not be cast into eternal darkness.
Enter...your life, today! Are we Christians
willing to risk our lives for others, to help them escape multiplied waves of spiritual deception
that many are drowning in, even in many churches?
" Hopefully your answer is "YES!"
It is my prayer that the Lord would give you, our readers, the strength to tell the truth, regardless
of the cost and regardless of what may come. If Christians won't warn about false Christs (Jesus Calling
) and spiritual deception (How's this for maximum confusion?
) and present the biblical
Gospel and the biblical
Jesus to the world, who will?
Paul the Apostle said, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17)
Telling the truth to all who will listen!
