"How to Get the Most for Your Hay Dollar" with Chris Anderson

Hay is the primary substance that keep our horses fed, fit, healthy and happy. But “hay” is a broad term for a variety of ingredients that all have upsides and downsides. In addition, other factors regarding quality and nutrients come into play such as time of cutting, moisture percentage, and more.

Learn what makes a good hay for your horse and how to identify it. And get the most for your money.

About our speaker: Chris Anderson is a Cazenovia dairy farmer who also grows crops, including hay. Chris’ herd’s health and productivity are connected with the type and quality of his hay which has won awards at the NY State Fair. Join us for this interesting and informative presentation.

Our monthly board meeting will follow the talk.
