VICHEALTH ACTIVE CLUB GRANTS
VicHealth's Active Club Grants program provides funding to increase opportunities Victorians have to participate in community sport clubs.
Funding prioritises increasing female participation and participation in social and modified forms of sport.
VicHealth is inviting community sporting clubs to address these factors by either creating new spot organisations or implementing an existing program created by a State or National sporting organisation.
Grants of up to $3000 and $10,000 are available to elegible clubs.
Grants are now open to encourage access and participation in sports for culturally diverse communities.
The program aims to increase social inclusion and create lasting connections between culturally diverse communities and the wider Victorian communiity through sport.
Successful applicants will partner with local communities and local sporting clubs in disadvantaged areas to develop, plan, and implement activies that will increase access to, and participation in sport.
The fund has a total pool of $1 million per year over four years, with the program accepting funding requests of up to $200,000 per year.
The Premier's Active April encourages all Victorians to do 30 minutes of physical activity a day during April. This is part of the Victorian Government's commitment to promoting healthy and active lifestyles.
Participants can log their daily activity on the mobile or web app, while charting your progress throughout the month. Participants will also receive offers such as free YMCA passes, store and membership discounts, free court hire and sporting lessons, and a range of other benefits.
