TIM PALLAS MP
E-NEWS BULLETIN
Dear Residents,
This is the June E-News bulletin. The purpose of these bulletins is to keep the community updated about what the State Government has been doing in Wyndham.
The bulletins will serve as an update about upcoming events, grant applications, services offered by my electorate office and relevant Government announcements.
My hope is that you will use these bulletins as a source of information for community members to be engaged with State Government, to talk to fellow residents and to follow up these issues in greater detail with my office if required.
I encourage you to forward this email on to fellow community members in Wyndham so that they can subscribe and follow up local issues with my office.
BUS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT CHANGES
With the opening of the Regional Rail Link there are major changes underway to public transport routes in Wyndham underway. Services will begin on the RRL on the 21st of June and new bus timetables and routes will also take effect from that day.
Numerous bus routes have been changed to be more direct, frequent and connective, so that commuters have an effective transfer from bus to trains. There will be several routes operating from Werribee, Hoppers Crossing, Williams Landing and the Plaza that connect with the new RRL stations at Tarneit and Wyndham Vale. Many of these buses will run more quickly and at 20 minute intervals.
V-Line trains will run every 10 minutes from Wyndham Vale during the peak periods and some expresses will originate from Wyndham Vale and Tarneit. Commuters are expected to travel to Southern Cross in around 27min on an express service.

The main announcements for Werribee is a fantastic upgrade to the Werribee Mercy Hospital, with the State Government contributing $85 million towards additional patient beds and a critical care unit.
We have also seen $7 million towards the upgrade of Werribee Secondary College, in a long awaited improvement.
EDUCATION STATE CONSULTATION FORUM
As part of the development of the Education State paper there will be local forums held across the State to seek the input of local students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders.
There will be a forum in Werribee held on the 30th of June from 6-8pm at the Werribee Civic Centre.
Participants can register at http://educationstate.education.vic.gov.au/education-state?tool=survey_tool&tool_id=register-for-an-event#tool_tab
I encourage local residents to participate in this forum and work with the Government on ways to improve education in Victoria.
