Bingo!!
This group of parishioners volunteers at nursing homes the second Saturday morning of the month at 10:00 to play Bingo and bring some cheer to residents. If you’d like to be part of this great social ministry, contact Wren Ward or 501-773-0073 for more info. 
Parish Notes

Baptism The sacrament of Baptism will be offered at Saint Mark’s on Sunday, January 12. If you, or someone in your household, wish to be baptized, please contact the church office 225-4203. A rehearsal will be held at 4:00 in the church on Tuesday, January 7.

Thanks be to Food Pantry Volunteers! Many thanks to the volunteers at the Saint Mark's Food Pantry. On Thursday, December 19, they served 108 families, which included 218 adults and 229 children. What a wonderful way to spread the good news of God's love!

Deadline for Vestry Nominations January 12 To be eligible for a 3 year term on the Vestry, one must be a pledger of record, a confirmed Episcopalian, and able to attend the Vestry retreat on February 28-29 at Camp Mitchell. To nominate someone for the vestry, you must obtain their permission. You may also self-nominate. Nomination forms are available by contacting Karen. The slate of five nominees from vestry include: Mark Davis, Craig Douglass, Ellen Nichol, Eleanor Randolph, Patrick Spivey.

Men of Saint Mark’s Please consider participating in the next Camp Mitchell volunteer day on Saturday, January 11.  Weather permitting, volunteers will meet at 9:00 a.m. at our diocesan camp and conference center on Pettit Jean Mountain-about an hour’s drive from Little Rock. At this time specific projects are pending but they usually include outside clean up and repairs. Lunch is provided. Anyone interested can contact Robert Seibert or 425 9330.

The Good Book Club Back!

Starting Epiphany (Jan. 6) Saint Mark’s will be reading the Gospel of John together with the whole Episcopal Church for the season. You can find Good Book Club materials in the Narthex or at this link

Be sure to be at the Adult Forum at 9:15 January 12, in the Parish Hall for church-wide Bible study.

Epiphany The Central Convocation service for Epiphany will take place Jan. 6, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. The choir from St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock will sing at the service, and the preacher will be the Rev. Philip Pointer, pastor of St. Mark Baptist. A reception will follow.

Eleventh Step Serenity Retreat at Camp Mitchell This retreat for active members of 12-step groups will take place Friday evening through Sunday morning, Jan. 10–12, at Camp Mitchell, on Petit Jean Mountain. Addiction Recovery Weekend for Women The Addictions Recovery Ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana will hold its 2020 annual weekend for women who are or who want to be in recovery at the Solomon Episcopal Conference center outside of New Orleans on Jan. 17–19. The Rev. Joanna Seibert will be the guest speaker. Download more info.


Diocesan Convention 2020 The annual convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas will take place Friday, Feb. 14–Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020. All events on both days will take place at Saint Mark's. Registration will begin in January. Stay tuned for more information.
