Our Fall Forum series focuses on the teachings of Micah 6:8, "what does the Lord require of your but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Over the Next 3 months, we will exploring the three actions we are called to through this verse. First up is "Do Justice". Each week a member of our clergy will offer a reflection on the upcoming lesson. This week is Deacon Joanna.

 Jesus  and Justice

This Sunday October 4th, we will be studying in the forum at 9:15 the last chapter of Biblical Justice about what we know about justice from Jesus in the New Testament. We learn about Jesus’ views on justice through his life and his teachings. Think of stories in Jesus’s ministry where  you find his teachings on justice in these four areas:

Justice in the life of Jesus:

  • rejected social discrimination
  • a critic of economic injustice
  • mistrust of institutional power
  • repudiation of war and violence

Think  of others in our past or our lifetime who are carrying out this message.
