Our Fall Forum series focuses on the teachings of Micah 6:8, "what does the Lord require of your but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Over the Next 3 months, we will exploring the three actions we are called to through this verse. First up is "Do Justice". Each week a member of our clergy will offer a reflection on the upcoming lesson. This week is Father Michael.
"Let Justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." Amos 5:24
Justice is one of the most prevalent themes throughout the Bible. Even from a young age, we have an intuition of it and intuitively know when things are unfair. But trying to define it, and even more, trying to practice justice is more complicated. What seems just to one person might be unjust to another. This Sunday, we will consider the question, "What is Justice?" We will examine different components of justice, such as distribution, power, equity, and rights. Finally, we will set the stage to explore the vital topic of justice from a biblical perspective.

As you prepare for the Sunday forum, I invite you to reflect on
  • What does justice mean to you?
  • What does justice look like in practice and action?
