New Moon in Taurus
29 April 2014 - at 8:15 am South African time
This New Moon is supercharged by being a Solar Eclipse, the second half of the eclipse pair which began with the Full Moon lunar eclipse on the 15th of April. If you have any planets either at 25 Libra or 8 Taurus, these will have been activated by the eclipses and made ultra sensitive to major activation via outer planets in the year or two.
General advice is not to start any big plans until at least three days after the last eclipse in a pair. In this case wait until 2nd of May before starting anything important.
Taurus is a sign of fixed earth, the symbol is the sturdy bull with feet firmly on the ground. Projects involving earthy practicality, a building project, gardens, ensuring your finances are in good order, taking care of security systems at home and work, and designing a new menu with good wholesome food would fit the symbolism. It's a great time to create something exquisite as Lady Venus, lover of all things beautiful, rules this eclipse. Aim for completion at the Scorpio Full Moon on the 14th of May, or for a longer project, the next Taurus Full Moon on the 7th of November.
Slowly the enormous intensity of the Cardinal Grand Cross is dissolving as the four planets involved move apart from each other. Compared to intensity and possible upheavals of April, May should be a calmer, steadier month where we can focus our energies practically and see some tangible results.
